>>983583>>984375I don't ride them so I can ride trails or go off drops, but they are excellent geometry for touring, commuting, climbing, and even fire roads. I can ride all day with as little soreness as riding my road bikes all day, but I used mine for pavement 95% of the time.
That said, going over washboard pavement, small bumps, or potholes feels more like a road bike than modern mountain bike. White knuckles, death grips on handlebars, full body jolt.
My Schwinn here got ran over by a van on the way to work, so I'm working on building up a 90s Rockhopper with a Surly Troll fork for my rigid 26" fix.
