The country is in total lockdown. Stay inside except on essential buisiness. Exercise is allowed, but only locally, and we're to avoid anything that might strain emergency services, getting lost or injured. Swimming and boating is banned, as is driving anywhere to exercise.
Cycling rules are ambiguous. Anti-cyclist voices come out to complain at this time. Government ministers are being criticised for exercising in loops 5km around their houses, as apparently that is not local enough. Lots of glaring and arguments in cities and in the media.
I escaped the city and am holed up in a country town by the mountains and the lake. Roads are eerily quiet. Police cars out everywhere. State highway 1 runs through the town and there are trucks on that but not much else.
