Posted it about twice.
I used to be a fat anime loving gamer that spends 8 hours a day playing Starcraft. A couple years back, I met a transfer girl in university and had feelings for her but she was committed. I didn't press on as she seemed like she was in a happy relationship. After about a year hanging out with her almost daily, I've grown to like her even more.
I was pretty close with her roommate too, which treated that girl like a younger sister, always caring for her. One weekend, she skipped class and never came home. Her roommate called me and asked if she was with me. It was odd because she's usually back by 6pm, but she wasn't home at 11pm. She called everyone she knew and I did too. Three days went by without any news at all. Not sure why none of us didn't call the cops. On the fourth day, her roommate received a call from the hospital saying the girl collapsed and was admitted.
Turns out she had transverse myelitis and lost all control from her waist down. She was discharged and was bound to the wheelchair. Her dad came to the city and took her back to her family and a better hospital for rehab (My city is bumfucknowhere)
I realized after seeing her in a wheelchair, she lost all her freedom to move as she pleases. Most places are too far for her to push herself or it's too bothersome for anyone to help her out. Her boyfriend broke up with her for that reason. I realized how important it is for me to use muh legs if I still have control over it. I started riding a lot after that, and she came by my province for a visit, but another town which was about 160km away. She told me her plans and I didn't say anything. I rode to the town by bike alone and surprised her. It's a small town of about 3000 people and it was easy to find her walking down the street. She was really moved but I couldn't get together with her since she has to depend on her family now.
tl;dr : I ride for a chick i had a crush on
