>>1972923Ok so the Schwalbe tires you posted have that raw flat profile in the middle and some knobs on the outside. I used Conti SpeedKings which are similar. This type of profile runs fast obviously, but banking in curves on-road feels weird because of the knobs outside, abruptly increasing grip/resistance. It’s a bit of an inconsistent feedback in overall.
I‘d suggest a tire with more evenly distributed knobs, so the feedback feels about the same going straight ahead and as well in curves. As in pic as an example for the type of profile I mean. Even more off-road —> RaceKings —> CrossKings. No, I don’t work for Conti, I just tried out a few profile types for light xc.
If you don’t mind at all, those Schwalbe should be fine. Every type of profile has it advantages and trade-offs.
