>>1844005>>1844006I've never used that rust converter, but I like several CRC products, they seem to work well (SP-350 to treat inside frames, etc). I've seen a thread-related Youtube guy Toastyrides use it as well.
>>1845406>lol not yet. I willI asked partly because that 914 was the first time in several years that I've struggled removing an old bb. Had to chuck the fixed cup into a vise & yank on the frame. Thankfully it gave in.
>>1845413>antique tape residue is so fucking annoyingYeah, for sure, Acetone is what I ended up using.
>>1845445>have you tried ergo drops?Yeah, I have. But there's a model that Nitto makes that's perfect for me, so I keep buying them. It's one of those things.
>>1845638>I'd rather keep it than deal with listing, packing and shipping itThat's its own freedom.
I used to ride with a guy who had a desirable frame from a local builder (Franklin Frames, central OH... kind of known for his paint). But he was so worried about scratching the thing, a minor crash, etc that he never really enjoyed himself on it.
>>1845644>mine's two bolts, I have a bottle cage on it presentlyIt's a weirdo thing, from back when co2 inflators were hot tech and triathlons were still new.
Not my pic, but the knurled part is the inflator that threads on to a cartridge & your valve stem, no regulator. Pretty primitive, right?
A 3rd set of bottle bosses is much more useful. For several years Miyata put them on some bikes, before switching to this curiousity.
