>>998795It's tough to say anything for sure since used values have a lot of random variation, but I'd say, at least with mountain bikes, once you get above $3,000 bikes your odds of being happier with what you get buying new increase, because formerly high dollar bikes on the used market are often there because they've been thrashed and/or because there's already a superior model on the market.
