>>1921765>And if the US/UK can't make and operate airships, then nobody can.this sounds almost like a joke. you said it yourself, the only successful american airship was a german-built zeppelin. germany was the place of origin and france, england, and the usa merely copied. and badly so. they couldnt recreate rigid airships by themselves at all and even when they got the blueprints after ww1 as part of war reparations they still couldnt copy them. there were no guidebooks or anything on how to operate a zeppelin, german pilots taught each other orally.
