You absolutely hate to maintain and/or adjust your bike?
You like to take unecessary risks which boil down to dodging cars but amount to nothing else?
Than fixies are probably the thing for you.
But, if you live on a hilly place, like to maintain adjust bike, and like to pedal comfortably, than I advise you to don't buy the fixie meme.
I made a fixie with a disk brake hub, it was fun but it is impossible to be used on a place with hills, so it was impractical as fuck to me, but it may be good for you.
