riding up and down the curbs is a factor in city commuting. for that job, 26" 1.95 is a better option than 28" 40mm. Especially, if that is your 2nd or 3rd bike - you can use parts from your MTB, far cheaper to buy and maintain that using a gravel grinder for commuting.

thanks, looking for a new riser bar 25.4, this one is bent, not enough rise for comfy commuter and not vapor enough.

Got the whole bike for around 75$, all bearings are pretty good but rim surface isnt, I might switch to vbrake and new rims/wheels in the future.
You would surprise how nice the shimano100gs triggers work after 20 years.
