Get a road bike and you won't need to talk yourself into a ride, you can "just ride" except instead of "#justriding" you can actually go as fast as you want, if you feel like it, which you might, because road bikes are fun unlike offroad suspension joke bikes that need to be caged to the bike park downhilll ski jump in order to be useful. A road bike, being designed for road use, can be used anywhere and is in its element right where you sleep - in the city where humans live.
