As for chainring I'm already on 48-38-28, I don't think adding anything more would change much. What I actually need is the left shifter badly, because the current one (TY-22) is horrendous. Lately I've been realizing more and more I have subconsciously started to keep spinning more on 38-14 to get high speed rather than have my thumb deal with the shit shifter (especially in traffic), move up to 48-14 and go even faster. Not that spinning is bad, mind you.
