I live in deep in hell aka the 'burbs and no matter how far I go 99% of my time is spent blowing past freds/fats/normalfags on my fixie. I don't even think about it - it just became part of life knowing I am the King of the Road. But I mean, it's pretty obvious that most people don't want or care to go fast, while for me it's just how I get my kicks.
I've only ever been passed twice in my life and once was by a fat boomer on an e-bike who was hooting in delight. I didn't really care.
The real time I was ever passed was when I looked in my handlebar mirror and saw two roadies in full gear on carbon rockets close in on me fast; I gave it my all but they effortlessly went past. That was a humbling experience and I gained much respect for serious roadies that day.
I spend most of my time racing against myself, desu.
