I guess just once the word got out about the particular idiosyncrasies of the type, because of the internet the amount of accidents went down dramatically. As much as deaths and tragedy sucks and my heart goes out to the families of the victims, i think it's bad ass to fly a plane that is known as a "dentist killer." And I am not even fucking around when I say that girls will find it hot af when you tell them you fly a plane known as a "dentist killer," especially when you explain that it's not a design deficiency but rather 100 pilot error and it takes a special caliber of a man to fly this speed demon.
The issue is with the roll control. Spoilers are more effecient but they are more like a commercial aircraft than the king air twins most GA pilots are familiar with. I guess this changed how they designed the flaps so that deploying flaps in an engine out situation is suicide in the solitaire.
