Legally it's a no no, but like when I roll up to a red and can see waaaaaay down the road no cars, I'm just gonna bike through. Is this normal? I know cyclists are known for being chaotic and breaking traffic laws but I've literally never even gotten in anyone's way. It feels like waiting for a green is equivalent to waiting for a walk sign at a cross walk when you can see there are no cars. Except for the Japanese no one does it, look for cars and go when it's safe.
