Luckily the local government (West Midlands Combined Authority), the new transport body (Transport for WM) and the tram Metro Alliance are making quick progress and are learning a lot from this. Prior to this there had been no local public transport board or body, let alone any public transportation or trams know how in the city. Which was absolutely shameful for a metro area of 4.5 million people.
