my poorman only ironhorse.
inherited from a very tall friend, he's 2m, i'm 1,81m, it's kind of awkward to ride but serves me well.
he used it only for ciclotouring (weird choice, i know, but he's a tennis player), i've got it with about 2000km between it's wheels. i've added about 5000 more.
very useful for everything, from small dirt jumps and moderate descents to commuting or rough mountain ciclotourism (which i love).
suspension does not work anymore, paint is chipped beyond repair, chain is stretched, gears are eroded to death, rims are hammered and bent, but is loyal as fuck and brakes still work great!. my only luxury are 2 different sets of tyres for gravel/city or rough rock trails.
will buy a shorter stem, some time, to see if i can improvea bit the riding position.
also would like to try some kind of ciclotouring handlebar and, eventually, get into bikepacking.
i admire and enjoy a lot all these beauties itt, but personally don't give a damn about a e s t h t i c s in my ride.
