I know they 747-8 is a stretch (heh) but the 737-600 has been less successful than the A318, an identical concept of shrinking something down.
I'm still a huge Boeing fan (I'm still so gay for the 757 to this day), but you have to admit Boeing has been very very lazy as of late. Dragging their ass to roll out the aircraft everyone wants while presenting a bunch of sub-par rehased substitutes. The airlines aren't taking the bait any more, and I welcome competition if it means lighting a fire under Boeing's rear.
