Picked up a 2004 Rocky Mountain Switch for $350. 7”/6” travel front/rear freeride/DH bike. Super nostalgic era for me. Needs new main pivot bearings but already ordered them off AliExpress. Frame is a cool colour (steel blue) I like it a lot, good shape overall as it is powder coated by Rocky. It came with a 2004 Marzocchi Super T Pro (good shape could use new seals). This is the last year the Super T came with the high end damping. Ultra plush. Fox Vanilla R Propedal seems fine. Hayes HFX9 work great, going to change the fluid. Came with gold Dangerboy levers. Has a nice narrow wide RaceFace 32t ring on the front with RF cranks. Ordered a new bottom bracket, ISIS bbs are becoming scarce. Found a Truvativ Giga Pipe Team DH for 68 bucks. Didn’t come with a chain, got a SRAM 971 on the way. Beautiful welds on the frame and CNC bits. Need a taller seatpost. Going to run a hub motor in back and turn it into a freeride city ebike with Schwalbe Big Apples. My other bike is a 1500W Specialized P2 Dirt Jumper that I’ve had since it was new in 2004 and converted to an ebike last year. Great fun riding around the city. 60km/h on a hard tail can be scary af.
