I changed out the crankshaft gear on my bike and I had to replace the chain because of it. The master link for the new chain was catching on the edge of my derailer hard enough that something would have broke if I tried to force it past, so I cut the chain and just spooled it around the rear gear directly and now the master link is going onto the gear fucking crooked for some reason and hopping the next link in the chain sideways so that the chain just fucking falls off. What the fuck am I supposed to do about this?
