The line that goes from nowhere to no where. In the 1980' there was a large arms manufacturing presence in LA thanks to the Cold War. The line was intended to transport workers from the suburbs to the factories. It was constructed right in the middle of the 105 freeway which was a controversial project. Many people were displaced, it was bogged down in lawsuits and was behind schedule. By the time it was complete the Cold War was over. The arms factories shut down and the skilled workers moved somewhere else. It turned out ti be the least used rail line in all of the Los Angeles County Metro system. The Green Line doesn't link up to Metrolink which is about a mile away or to LAX which is also about a mile away. With the upcoming Crenshaw Line there was modifications to finally connect it to the airport (kind of). Unfortunately that's only for trains going from West to North and South to West. South Bay Riders will have to get off and transfer. There's also a design flaw that's the Achilles heel of the whole line. All of the stations were made to accommodate three cars except for one that was built too short. So they can only run on two.
