Went to turn on my helmet light heading into an unlit area, and nothing. Had to be a bit more cautious than usual on the MUP due to dynamo light beam pattern. Can't see much to the side when going into turns. And horizontal cutoff keep light low. Coming up on pedestrians they are only illuminated below the waste, and if they are wearing dark pants they don't stand out very well.
Light worked with a different battery. Problem might be the conversion cable I made so I can use a 2 cell battery with the light. The light came with a 4 cell battery, which died and I only have 6 cell betteries with that connector which is a bit much for this time of year where I only need the light intermittently.
