>>1880117>This is a small event so geared bikes are allowed as long as they don't change gears during the race but it allows them to bike around the track a few times and select the optimal gear which is a bit unfair.well they also have to lug around all those useless gears. It's a fair tradeoff. What gearing do you reckon you'll use? I've found 52-22 is pretty much perfect for juust being able to punch up gravel climbs and still getting decent speed on the flat iwth fast cx tires.
