>>1577171things I didnt brought I wish I had
>a proper rackdid kept this one just for the memes and because I didnt really overloaded it, at most I was carrying 15kg, mostly canned food, clothes and water
>more waterNEVER skimp on water, specially if you're going to travel the middle of the desert, get at least a gallon container and some sort of electrolitic solution, I brought some "queertorade" brand powder, it might look like a meme but it can save you from dehydration, and gives you TON of energy, also never drink that stuff before sleep.
>more sardinea can of sardine gives you around 3k calories, it is wayyyy better than tuna and really cheap, I can eat that stuff all day. Try to get it in bag presentation if you want to save some weight
>a bow or a macheteDid brought a pocket knife but it falls short for serious stuff (it's still handy to defend yourself and chop small stuff( there is a lot of stuff you can hunt in the desert, also some fishing gear might come handy if you get to find to a stream
>things I brought I wish I didntcookware, grains and fresh food: It weights a lot, doesnt really give you any advantage, and it weights a lot, I brought some frozen chicken, rice and potatoes for cooking in day 1, that's a big OH NO NO specially in the middle of coyote and skinwalker land, you literally become a human bait for the beasts
>cold weather gearthis might not apply to you, it really depends were you plan to travel, but in my case it was some unnecesary weight since the desert has a lot of wood for bonafires and in the day, temperatures are still 40°c even on winter. I did brought a thin windbreaker with some good insulation "just in case" but dumped all my heavy clothing at a place full of hobos because it was really slowing me down and was totally unnecessary
That's about it, at the end it all depends on you, get a good training before pulling it off, climb some hills, ride around the harshest nearby roads you can find with what you plan to carry
