I took to powermeter up some small hills for the first time and noticed how impossible it is to try and keep a constant power over hills.
My brain seems to take my sense of speed and then create some kind of limit on the power I can put out. Even hitting 250watts on a slight downhill was very difficult, and this was not due to spinning out or technical roads or anything, it was a wide open road and I had enough gears. Then, as soon as the road went up a bit again and I started to slow down, there was 400 watts without even trying to put down extra power. Its quite interesting, and I actually got much more tired than I usually do on this ride because I ended up pushing on downhills and flats where I usually wont.
