Out for a ride yesterday my legs were really sore. Raised the saddle 1 mm and they were great. So I finally decided it was time to deal with the parallax problem when it comes to measuring saddle height. Rather than pay US$150+ for a fitting tool I decided to make myself a knockoff of the Abbey Tools saddle fit tool out of a $2.50 piece of Masonite hardboard.
The pictures of it online made copying it somewhat easy since it had ruled numbers on it. Total length is about 45 cm with the nose stop 15 cm from the front. Width is probably around 16-18 cm, I made mine 20 which looks a bit wider. Waiting for the wood glue to dry before I try it tomorrow. Going to see if I can find some stick on ruler tape for the setback markings.
