What's the comfiest part of the sea to sail on professionally?

I'd want a boat that was bit enough that it could have an engine room that you could stand in and a few separate rooms.
I'm too poor though so all I can do to cope is build wooden and plastic scale model ships to live out my sailing fantasies.
