https://maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/#zoom=17.6&lat=51.53280&lon=-0.12460&layers=173&b=1&o=100), I'd guess the pictures were taken from the red X, with the building marked in green being a booking office in an annexe, and the platform itself being behind the 'Culross buildings' (tenements, perhaps).
Dunno about the bit that looks like the handle of a pair of pliers, it's unclear whether it's brick and mortar (implying offices) or just a platform canopy.
