>>1713171I have a habit of going for long night rides during winter, especially during blizzards, and it drops to -35C here at times. I have several different types of gloves for various degrees of coldness.
When it's coldest I use some relatively good quality insulated mitts either work mitts or whatever they sell at places like Costco. I don't buy the ultra expensive mountaineering/snow sports specialty shit because I don't think the price is justified.
More importantly: A secondary pair of glove liners, wool preferably (pic rel). They sell them at army surplus stores or work stores.
If it isn't quite as cold I have another pair of insulated winter gloves with individual fingers that I use instead of the mitts.
Idk how well that will work with your reynauds. Rule of thumb is to never take them off unless your hands are sweating. If they're not warm enough to sweat and you break the seal you might have serious problems warming up again.
For headwear I strongly recommend a modern, tech balaclava. It keeps a tight seal around your neck/face/ears, it can be easily pulled on or off your nose/mouth and it can be synthetic. Over it you can wear your favorite beanie or winter hat. For the coldest days I wear one of those russian styled fur-lined hats with the ear flaps.
Shoes I just wear winter workboots with two pairs of socks (cotton+wool).
For legwear the most important part is to have a base layer of underpants.
For top I don't think it matters. Just dress warm.
