I'm tempted to make a bunch of 1.5 foot wide ramps like this out of wood and use construction adhesive to bond them to my most hopped curbs.
There is a round post laying against the curb in one spot that performs a similar role. I think the city put it there for driving their maintenance trucks up on to a gravel path.
