A gentle hose after each ride, and it gets no more wear than my other bikes that live next to the corrosive beach air although chains will turn to sandy abrasive paste in no time with conventional oily lubes this is totally mitigated by waxing them in a rice cooker filled with parafin. PS i also love being able to wheelie and get some air unlike the boomers on their chink fat tire monstrosites.
