But then I remember to have a closed sump of oil, you'd need to seal it, and on a bicycle you'd need two for the rear wheel, two for the crankset, one for the FD cable and one for the RD cable. A huge advantage of bicycles as a practical vehicle is that maintenance is simple and you don't have to deal with oil seals and shit like on cars.
