>>1350223Here's a pic of my bike from today, which I posted in a thread on /diy/ because I was asking them about tapping threads. Yes it's just the rear derailleur. I managed to get it back on today after I slightly stripped the thread or something. It made me shit my pants because I thought I'd have to weld some new metal in there and retap it, or some other extreme measure. Thankfully I just got the right size tap (10mm x 1mm) and used it to clean up the thread. The derailleur went on just fine. Awesome.
I also replaced the brake blocks, front and back, because they were extremely worn down, and I ordered new ones recently (very cheap off eBay but they look fine). And I replaced the rear brake cable pinch screw after the last one sheared off when I was tightening it maybe a couple months ago. So now I have a working rear brake again. And I had to take apart the rear brake calliper a bit because it was fucking jammed and just didn't move. Next jobs for tomorrow: install my new chain, install a new pedal after one of them broke, hook up the gear cable from the shifter to the derailleur. Then Bob should, hopefully, be one's proverbial uncle.
