>>1423499>>1423486OH BOY. I didn't have many issues. GF did, though. I never learned how to use SPD pedals, but I'm 5'8 and 200 lbs (not fat) and mainly hike mountains. So I never really ride for speed. I can go up with a lot of weight like a motherfucker, though. If anyone rides like this they do need to be aware of hotfoot. Got it on the last tour and it started to turn to trench foot. I got the fully loaded Surly from a lady that finished her tour for $600 and just kept it the same. I like that they are elevated. Keeps my back straight and upright. I can duck down when going downhill. What kind of handlebars would you use? Went through a set of brakes.
Gf bike was a piece of shit. She fused that Jamis with an old Nishiki. She also didn't know how to shift until we got there. Notice how the racks are attached. They would fuck up the brakes. Notice the gear sizes. The handlebar post started to detach and the rear cassette needed replacing. New derailleur as well. Ended up ditching it halfway. This bike was a big part of our conflict. We found a cheap trek FX and moved her to that.
