A "flat resistant" tire is not as reliable as one filled with closed-cell foam. If you run over something super-horrible it will still leave you stranded while foam filled will keep going until the whole tire is totally destroyed. That said, you have to be running over some pretty damn hardcore terrain to make it worth it. Like, are you commuting through a scrap metal yard or something?! Pic related is good enough protection for any practical application and is vastly better in every other way.
