When I started cycling I got a hip fixie but soon noticed that it sucked owning only an expensive bike with no fenders that I wouldn’t feel comfortable locking up in shady places for a longer while. Ended up getting a shitty rigid 90s 24-speed MTB and surprisingly it was a lot of fun to ride and I did ride it quite a bit! Freewheel started skipping one winter and I gave the bike to a friend who needef one, I guess it’s still there at his place if it hasn’t been stolen.
