50+ years old and still grinding out daily passenger service in their various forms, and their design, between the hard, functional cab ends and their elegant polished stainless steel bodies with those cool squared-oval porthole looking windows just exude this overwhelming sense of mid-century art deco cool, particularly when you see them lined up in the bowels of Penn Station or 30th Street.
