I love driving to college to and from (15 km to and back). It gives my confidence a big boost, and it shows to girls I am responsible and independent.
I don't live in the city of my college, so cycling is not an option.
Driving offers a sense of freedom. You are isolated and comfortable from the outside world. No more windnoise, traffic noise, rain, cold, It's just so comfortable and fun. I've also learned so much about cars the last year simply because of experiences.
The only time I wouldn't want a car is if I lived in the middle of the city. I wouldn't need one that way. But the moment I would finish college and a get a good job I would move out of the city to be among my own white middle class folk. In cities there are only 2 classes, rich Jews at the top, with their mostly white/asian liberal office lackeys living in expensive apartments, and masses of mostly poorer colored peasants and poor young people who are still studying. Not a surprise most of /n/ is in that latter group.
