>>1978992Riding a bicycle in traffic is dangerous, yes. But riding on the sidewalk in dense city conditions is, in fact, more dangerous. If you're in the suburbs where nobody is on the sidewalks anyway and there are no buildings obstructing your view of intersections, it doesn't matter as much.
