>>2012325Probbably a bit biased, as I work as a conductor for the Czech railways, but I often try to get into into conversations with the passangers to make their trip better or more interesting. Usually when I meet a fellow colleague or a railfan on my train, we start talking about the situation on my train and about anything railway and work related.
As for when I travel as a passanger, the "coupe" compartment design (pic related) usually helps, as when few people are in this relatively small compartment, they get talking much quicker.
