I messlifed for 2 years (before working the last two years as a bike mechanic till now) on a fixie and shit needs maintenance just as much as any other bike (Well, not AS much but still plenty especially with the kilometrage you put out every day). Only difference is less shit will break and need replacing when you inevitably crash.
Pic was my work bike, which was also my main bike back in the days so that's why it's so shiny. Low bike theft levels here in day time so it wasn't a problem to use it for work. Frame cracked at the lug after a big crash so RIP.
