What do you guys think about these eXotic rigid forks? I have seen them a few times used to replace a suspension fork of old mtb, and I am now planning to do the same as I need something that is relatively light, has v-brake bosses and +425 A2C.
The price is 180 euros + 22% vat for the 850g carbon version, and 130 + vat for the alu version (950g). There would be lighter and cheaper china-forks available, but they are most of the time CX oriented and there is mixed reviews for all the brands.
I have seen non-suspension corrected old forks go for 50 euros at the same weight. In my opinion, the longer fork would be good for the looks and a bit comfier riding position. Supposedly the handling would be better when closer to the original geometry, but I really don't know if that is noticeable?
Is it worth it to spend over 200 for a new fork just to get the suspension correction?
