I see Shinolas and the like success stories being mentioned here on /n/ all the time. Here in Europe, where I am, it's much the same. Pic related is kind of a poor man's retro-look bike if compared to the higher end, however, it's still 800€ for a crmo frame, sturmey archer hubs and pretty much cheapo anything else. Also, notice the wheelbase.
