>>1425113I have a small bag for my most valueable items (wallet, phone, chargers). If you really want just buy a cheap cable lock.
The best advice I can give is to never appear like you have money. All my stuff looks cheap. Only a bicycle person would know what kind of bike I'm riding and they won't steal. Look at how dirty looking my stuff is and it probably smells. It's stupid heavy. No one wants to carry it off. I've ridden that setup all along the pacific coast and in many big cities. No one wants it. At the end of the day you just have to accept whatever happens. I've made peace with that bike being stolen and there have been days where I wished someone would steal my bike so I had an excuse to quit.
>Riding though Missoula>Some bums ask me if I can buy them some beer>I say sure>One mexican dude rides with me to show me where the gas station is located>We talk about bikes>He tells me Missoula is a great place for biking>Dude is dirty and ghetto as fuck>He tells me no one locks up their bikes>Points at his bike and tells me he stole it off someone's porch>I tell him that's cool. Just don't steal my bike>"Nah bro, you're one of us">tfw when I'm also brown and look dirty>tfw I've fully blended in with the homeless>tfw no one ever messed with me, but always with white europeans I was riding withFeels good.
