And as far as an 'analog feel' it's not so much brifters as shimano brifters, campy ergos, atleast the older ones, have this hugely satisfying mechanical click into gears. Xt thumbies have a different but equally satisfying throw.
Clutching and rev matching is much like soft pedalling.
