Why does cycling without helmets makes some people seethe so much? Aside from the fact that cycling is less dangerous than many activities where people feel perfectly fine without wearing a helmet, I can't imagine the mentality of someone who gets angry and goes out of their way to make unsolicited comments about what kind of safety gear others wear. Is it just a way to feel superior to others?
