The foamer in me originally only wanted to ride it to Winterthur for nostalgia's sake, but once I noticed that I had a comfy first-class-turned-second-class carriage for myself, I decided to ride it to the terminus in St.Gallen, where they replaced it with a regular train again.
The SBB states on the replacement train site (
https://www.sbb.ch/en/station-services/on-the-train/our-trains/replacement-trains.html) that they have them on stand-by at six locations, but your best bet is probably Basel, as they frequently serve as stand-ins for delayed ICE from Germany.
