I set my my road bike up on the old Zwifter today and did a FTP ramp test and holy shit boys, it was a very humbling experience, I’m now weak as shit. My FTP is now 150 and it used to be 220 which was also very modest. I’m planning on doing 1 long endurance session and 2 interval sessions a week on the Zwifter. I will do a zone 2 fun ride outside on Sundays mixed in with a few cheeky 5 second sprints. I’m going to buy a new back wheel so I don’t have to change the rear type every Sunday. I’m using power meter pedals so my watts will transfer in the real world.
Training inside is really convenient especially because it’s getting darker. It allows you to get a quick and efficient workout and you save time getting dressed and packing stuff.
I’m going to be consistent this time, I think having actual goals will help me with my mental health. I’m looking forward to becoming one speedy demon and being able to teach some noobs who try to challenge me a real lesson in speed..
