-late 80s road bike, i rebuilt this summer as i pulled it out of some bushes totally fucked and the owner didnt claim it from the police so the ownership went to me.
has full shimano 105 1050, except for the bottom bracket which i switched out for a newer one.
paint was all fucked and some rust, so I got rid of most rust and spray painted it myself.
sadly it has a uniglide cassette which is on its last teeth. allready to grinded from both sides and the chain starts jumping from time to time, so I’m currently into converting it to a 2x9 with STI's.
new rear hub will arrive tomorrow and i'll begin rebuilding the wheel.
General use for this bike is commuting and just general riding on nice days, it will probably stay in the garage during the salty winter.
-Scott Scale 50 just for going to the Alps or riding some Trails in the nearby woods no mods or part swaps except for some thicker and grippier tires than the stock ones and replacements of those from time to time.
-heavy ass botchy Piece of heavy alloy. Everything on the original bike was broken at least once and got swapped now it’s a wild mix of components.
finally the frame is giving up and I am currantly searching for some rigid cheap mtb frames in my area to switch the parts to. Probably will loose my disk brakes but some good v brakes will do the job too. Maybe some dropper bars in the future since I really like riding them since I got my roadie.
