I am pretty sure you are a dumb white nerd. Simply since I got the Gunnar and bought wide supple Compass Direct Barlow Pass Ultra-light 38 mm tires, my views changed. The Waterford my first and perhaps last roadie cannot accommodate wide comfortable tires so I rarely ride it now. I remember once being in someone's car and observing a roadie going downhill on a road I frequently ride and seeing him swerve erratically. Why? Because he was on a bike with meme thin Fred tires so he tried to avoid every minuscule pothole and small crack so he didn't risk losing balance or control. Which makes it dangerous because you could always swerve into a car that is also swerving to go around you but doesn't account for your zig-zaging. It is much comfortable knowing I can commit to a more straight line if there is heavy car traffic near me on my 38mm tires.
