One cannot understress the importance of the Düwag Gt6 series. It has been so versatile, in multiple unit operation on interurban like sections doing 80 km/h or hauling the old twin bogie rush hour trailers in the city. Later some got life extension with low floor middle section.
The funny thing is, these still came with manual upright controller. In Europe, you are expected to know how to drive manual ;) It's a joy to watch drivers switching between slight drag to full braking notches and then finish with manual brake.
